Russian born couturier started designing
at the age of 12 taking apart her father's suits to study the construction.
Her mother, a college professor, had a hobby sewing elegant outfits that had
a strong influence on Olga. She sold to her first client at age fifteen. It
was an elaborate pair of pants.
Olga graduated with a Masters Degree in English from St. Petersburg University,
Russia. While teaching English at a college she continued designing one of
a kind creations for clients and sold to an Art Salon in Nevski Prospect,
St. Petersburg's central avenue. Having emigrated to the U.S. in 1990 she
worked days as an assistant designer for Valentino couture, Bob Mackie and
A. Scaasi licensed loungewear while attending F.I.T. at night. Olga started
her own couture studio on Seventh Avenue in 1995; she was featured on the
Joan Hamburg radio talk show. The designer sold to specialty stores in the
U.S. and Canada through her website. Strapless minimal looks with intricate
corset construction in opulent imported silks have won recognition among the
clients. Glamorous cocktail suits in luxurious fabrications with cinched waistlines
have dedicated fans. Standouts are ball gowns embellished with exquisite French
luxe laces. Bridal gowns adorned with delicate hand embroideries were recently
featured in Manhattan Bride Magazine, Wedding Dresses and the Knot.
Olga Kvitko opened her first store in Hoboken, NJ in

art and lavish royal palaces, French couture and art and nature.
